Each of these unique necklaces is handcrafted from recycled magazines, and recycled metal beads, by Ugandan Jewish, Muslim, and Christian women working together in peace. This sustainable business not only provides income, it also benefits health services including clean water, mosquito nets, HIV/AIDS prevention, and a health center.
Through creating these beautiful necklaces, these women are being paid a fair wage, learning valuable business skills, providing security for their community, and learning religious tolerance by working with women of other religions.
